2026 Topps Cosmic Chrome Baseball Breaks: Case Breaks, Team Prices and Checklist by Team
2026 Topps Cosmic Chrome Baseball is Topps’ space-themed Chrome set, and it releases November 4, 2026. A Hobby box has 20 packs of four cards and no guaranteed autograph; FireHand’s listings note that typical 8-box cases have 2 to 4 autograph hits. FireHand Cards runs it as 30-team pick-your-team (PYT) case breaks: you buy one MLB team, we open the case live on YouTube, and every card for your team ships to you free.

How a FireHand PYT break works
In a FireHand Cosmic Chrome PYT break, you buy one MLB team and receive every card pulled for that team when the 8-box case is opened live.
- Pick your team and buy the spot. Each of the 30 team spots has its own price on the break page.
- The break fills. Pick-your-team breaks load in the store daily between 8 and 9 AM Pacific. You get an email before your break starts.
- It breaks once every spot is sold. FireHand only breaks once every spot is sold. When the last spot sells, the case is opened live on YouTube. Watch on the FireHand Cards YouTube channel or our Live page.
- Your cards ship free. Shipping is free on group breaks. Packages go out every Tuesday and Friday, and international shipping goes out every other Thursday. See shipping.
- See your hits in HEYSTACK. When a break is imaged (many are, not all), hit images show up in HEYSTACK. Create a free HEYSTACK account with the email you use on FireHand Cards.
How team ownership works (multi-team cards and special cases)
These are FireHand’s house rules for every break:
- Cards with more than one MLB team. When a card features players from more than one MLB team, a random draw among the owners of those teams decides who gets the card.
- High-value multi-team cards. When a multi-team card has significant value, FireHand leaves the decision to the team owners involved. They can choose a random draw, sell the card and split the money, have one owner buy out the other(s), or settle it any other way they agree on.
- Cards pairing an MLB player with a non-MLB player. The card goes to the team of the MLB player.
- Cut Signatures with no MLB team. Cut signatures with no MLB team (non-baseball figures, or non-players like a commissioner) are randomized among everyone in the break.
In 2026 Cosmic Chrome, the Barry Bonds (Giants) / Aaron Judge (Yankees) and Shohei Ohtani (Dodgers) / Ichiro (Mariners) Star Clusters Dual Autographs are multi-team cards. The Mike Trout / Albert Pujols dual (both Angels) goes to the Angels. All 17 Cosmic Explorers Cut Signatures have no MLB team, so they’re randomized among everyone in the break.
Superfractor Bounty
Every FireHand Cosmic Chrome PYT break listed so far qualifies for the Superfractor Bounty. If your team hits a SuperFractor in the break, you win the bounty. The bounty is paid in Firehand Points. Every SuperFractor counts toward the Superfractor Bounty; other 1/1s and parallels don’t. The current bounty total is always shown in the bar at the top of the site.
What if my team gets nothing?
Most teams won’t get an autograph in a given case, because there are only a few per case and no guarantee per box. FireHand doesn’t currently offer skunk protection. You still earn Firehand Points on every purchase: every $1 you spend on firehandcards.com earns 1 point, and points come off future orders at checkout. And every qualifying break builds the Superfractor Bounty.
Checklist by team
Topps’ official 2026 Cosmic Chrome checklist (PDF) and odds sheet (PDF) list every card. The table below gives PYT buyers the team-by-team view: autograph lines, Planetary Pursuit and Supernova cards, and base cards. The counts are checklist lines, not odds, and Topps notes that actual contents and odds may vary.
Checklist per Topps as of Oct 29, 2026; subject to change. See the official checklist.

Why some teams cost more
Team prices follow autograph depth and the big inserts. The Dodgers have the highest starting price, $879, the Yankees (Aaron Judge) start at $719, and spots start at $39. On Topps’ checklist the Dodgers have 13 autograph lines and the Mets 10, and the Pirates are the only team with two Planetary Pursuit players (Paul Skenes and Konnor Griffin). A higher price buys more chances, not a guaranteed hit.
Past FireHand breaks and big hits
None yet. 2026 Topps Cosmic Chrome Baseball releases November 4, 2026, and FireHand breaks each case only once every team sells. Each completed break gets added here with its video, timestamps and best hits.
Is a break worth it?
A sealed Cosmic Chrome Hobby box has no guaranteed autograph, so one box can easily come up empty on autos. FireHand team spots have starting prices of $39 to $879, and a spot gets you every card your team pulls from a full 8-box case: all 160 packs of Refractors, inserts and whatever autographs the case holds.
The trade-off is certainty. A team spot doesn’t guarantee an autograph either, and most teams won’t get one in a given case. What a break does is spread the risk: you pay for one team’s share of the whole case instead of the full price of a box.
A break suits you if you collect one team, chase Planetary Pursuit, Supernova or the Refractor rainbow for your players, or like watching the case opened live. A sealed box suits you if you want to rip it yourself and don’t mind which team the cards are from.
FAQ
What comes in a 2026 Topps Cosmic Chrome Baseball Hobby box?
A 2026 Topps Cosmic Chrome Baseball Hobby box has 20 packs of four cards (80 cards). Autographs aren’t guaranteed. A Hobby case holds eight boxes. The product releases November 4, 2026.
How many autographs are in a 2026 Cosmic Chrome case?
None are guaranteed. FireHand’s break listings say typical 8-box cases have 2 to 4 autograph hits, about three autographs per case on average, based on Topps’ printed odds. An individual case can have more or fewer.
What is Planetary Pursuit in 2026 Cosmic Chrome?
Planetary Pursuit is Cosmic Chrome’s headline chase insert. Ten players each have ten versions named for the Sun and planets, from Sun (1:120 packs) to Pluto (1:28,000 packs). The 2026 players are Aaron Judge, Shohei Ohtani, Juan Soto, Bobby Witt Jr., Paul Skenes, Roman Anthony, Munetaka Murakami, Konnor Griffin, Kevin McGonigle and JJ Wetherholt.
Which teams are best in 2026 Topps Cosmic Chrome Baseball?
By autograph depth on Topps’ checklist, the Dodgers lead with 13 autograph lines, then the Mets (10) and Orioles (8). The Pirates are the only team with two Planetary Pursuit players (Paul Skenes and Konnor Griffin). Checklist per Topps as of Oct 29, 2026; subject to change. Autographs aren’t guaranteed and every card is randomly inserted, so no team is guaranteed a hit.
How does a 2026 Cosmic Chrome PYT break work at FireHand?
You buy one MLB team and get every card pulled for that team when the 8-box case is opened live. Each team has its own price. FireHand breaks the case live on YouTube once all 30 teams are sold and ships your cards free.
Who gets the Bonds/Judge or Ohtani/Ichiro dual autograph?
A random draw among the owners of the teams on the card decides. If the card has significant value, the owners decide together: a random draw, selling and splitting, a buyout, or anything else they agree on.
Who gets the Cosmic Explorers Cut Signatures, like Neil Armstrong?
They’re randomized among everyone in the break, because they aren’t baseball players and have no MLB team.
Does the Superfractor Bounty apply?
Yes. Every FireHand Cosmic Chrome PYT break listed so far qualifies. If your team hits a SuperFractor, you win the bounty in Firehand Points. Every SuperFractor counts; other 1/1s and parallels don’t. The current total is shown in the bar at the top of the site.
Where can I watch the break, and when do my cards ship?
Every FireHand break streams live on the FireHand Cards YouTube channel, and you get an email before your break starts. Shipping is free on group breaks. Packages go out every Tuesday and Friday, and international orders ship every other Thursday.
