2026 Bowman U Best Football Breaks: Case Breaks, PYT School Prices and Checklist by School
2026 Bowman U Best Football (Topps also calls it 2026 Bowman University Best Football) is Topps’ premium Chrome college football set, and it releases October 30, 2026. A 12-box Hobby case holds 48 autographs, four in every box. FireHand Cards runs it as 30-spot pick-your-team (PYT) case breaks: you buy a school, a conference group or a player spot, we open the case live on YouTube, and every card for your spot ships to you free.
Current breaks at FireHand

A 2026 Bowman U Best Football Hobby box has four packs of 10 cards (40 cards) with four autographs, three numbered parallels, three Base Refractors, two Shimmer parallels, eight inserts and 20 base cards. Chrome cards are printed on a shiny chromium stock, and Refractors are the rainbow-finish parallels of those cards. The lower the serial number (/5, /1), the scarcer the card. Some shoppers search for it as Bowman’s Best University, but Topps’ name is Bowman U Best.
Box configuration
Four packs of 10 cards (40 cards). Every box has four autographs, three numbered parallels, three Base Refractors, two Shimmer parallels, eight inserts and 20 base cards.
Case configuration
Twelve boxes per case, so 48 autographs. Each case has one Best of the Best or one Campus Crests case insert, and a Best of Mascots or Best of Stadiums insert falls about every two cases, so a case won’t always have one.
New for 2026
Tone Setters, Best of Stadiums and Best of High School Tribute inserts; Quad, Hexagon (six signatures, three per side) and Super Saturday Signatures autographs; Best of High School Tribute Autograph Variations of Josh Allen and Peyton Manning; and Prospect Relic Autographs.

The chase cards
These are the cards everyone on the stream is waiting for:
- Arch Manning autographs in Best of 2026 and Big Kahuna.
- SuperFractor 1/1 parallels across the base and autograph sets. Every SuperFractor counts toward FireHand’s Superfractor Bounty (see below).
- Hexagon Autographs. Three cards (QB, RB and DL versions), each signed by six players from different schools.
- Quad Autographs, with conference and school quads.
- Best of High School Tribute autographs of Josh Allen and Peyton Manning.
- Best of Mascots Autograph Variations.
- Prospect Relic Autographs and Behind the Seams Dual Relic Autographs (one signer plus two player-worn swatches).
- Best of the Best and Campus Crests, the case hits (one or the other in every case).
Pack odds aren’t listed here because Topps hasn’t published them yet; the checklist notes that actual contents and odds may vary.

How a FireHand PYT break works
In a FireHand Bowman U Best PYT break, you buy one spot (a school, a conference group or a player) and receive every card pulled for that spot when the 12-box case is opened live.
- Pick your school or group and buy the spot. Each of the 30 school or group spots has its own price on the break page.
- The break fills. Pick-your-team breaks load in the store daily between 8 and 9 AM Pacific. You get an email before your break starts.
- It breaks once every spot is sold. FireHand only breaks once every spot is sold. When the last spot sells, the case is opened live on YouTube. Watch on the FireHand Cards YouTube channel or our Live page.
- Your cards ship free. Shipping is free on group breaks. Packages go out every Tuesday and Friday, and international shipping goes out every other Thursday. See shipping.
- See your hits in HEYSTACK. When a break is imaged (many are, not all), hit images show up in HEYSTACK. Create a free HEYSTACK account with the email you use on FireHand Cards.
How the 30 spots are grouped
There are 23 single-school spots (22 schools, with Miami and Duke combined as one), two player spots (Josh Allen and Peyton Manning) and five “All Other” conference groups. Miami and Duke share a spot because Darian Mensah and Cooper Barkate appear as Miami on most cards and as Duke on their Workhorse Autograph Variations.
- All Other Big Ten (11): Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan State, Minnesota, Northwestern, Penn State, Purdue, Rutgers, UCLA, Wisconsin
- All Other ACC (12): Boston College, Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, NC State, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, SMU, Stanford, Syracuse, Virginia, Wake Forest
- All Other Big 12 (14): Arizona, Arizona State, Baylor, Cincinnati, Colorado, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, TCU, Texas Tech, UCF, Utah, West Virginia
- All Other SEC (5): Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Missouri, Tennessee
- All Other Schools (15): Akron, Boise State, Delaware, Fresno State, Louisiana, New Mexico, San Diego State, Texas State, Tulsa, UConn, UNLV, Washington State, Western Kentucky, Western Michigan, Wyoming
How ownership works for multi-school cards
These are FireHand’s house rules for every break, applied to schools:
- Cards with more than one school. When a card features players from more than one school in the break, a random draw among the owners of those schools’ spots decides who gets the card. If every player on the card belongs to the same spot, the card goes to that spot.
- High-value multi-school cards. When a multi-school card has significant value, FireHand leaves the decision to the spot owners involved. They can choose a random draw, sell the card and split the money, have one owner buy out the other(s), or settle it any other way they agree on.
- School shown on the card. Cards are awarded to the school listed and featured on the card.
- Mascot cards. Best of Mascots cards, including the mascot autograph variations, go to the mascot’s school.
- Player spots. Any card of Josh Allen or Peyton Manning in this break, including High School Tribute cards and autograph variations, goes directly to that player’s spot, not to a school. A dual autograph or any card featuring both players is randomized between the Josh Allen and Peyton Manning spots.
Cards on Topps’ checklist that touch more than one FireHand spot: Hexagon Autographs HEX-QB, HEX-RB and HEX-DL (six schools each), Quad Autographs QA-B10 (All Other Big Ten, Nebraska, Michigan) and QA-SEC (Mississippi State, Florida, Kentucky, South Carolina). Every Dual Autograph is two players from the same school, and Quad QA-B12 (UCF, Utah, West Virginia, Iowa State) falls entirely inside All Other Big 12, so those go straight to one spot.
Superfractor Bounty
Every FireHand Bowman U Best PYT break listed so far qualifies for the Superfractor Bounty. If your spot hits a SuperFractor in the break, you win the bounty. The bounty is paid in Firehand Points. Every SuperFractor counts toward the Superfractor Bounty. The current bounty total is always shown in the bar at the top of the site.
What if my spot gets nothing?
It can happen. A spot can go a whole break without a hit, and FireHand doesn’t currently offer skunk protection. You still earn Firehand Points on every purchase: every $1 you spend on firehandcards.com earns 1 point, and points come off future orders at checkout. And every qualifying break builds the Superfractor Bounty (below).
Checklist by school
Topps’ official 2026 Bowman U Best Football checklist (PDF) lists every card; the table below maps it to FireHand’s 30 spots, so you can see what each spot has before you buy. The counts are checklist card lines, not odds: every card is randomly inserted, and Topps notes that actual contents and odds may vary.
Checklist per Topps as of Oct 29, 2026; subject to change. See the official checklist.

Why some spots cost more
Spot prices follow checklist depth and player demand. Texas (Arch Manning) has the highest starting price, $295, and spots start at $45. Conference groups are priced higher because they bundle many schools: All Other Big 12 covers 13 schools on the checklist and 65 autograph lines. Mississippi State has Kamario Taylor and Fluff Bothwell across 14 autograph lines. A higher price buys more chances, not a guaranteed hit.
Past FireHand breaks and big hits
None yet. 2026 Bowman U Best Football releases October 30, 2026, and FireHand breaks each case only once every spot sells. Each completed break gets added here with its video, timestamps and best hits, so you can see what actually came out of the case.
Is a break worth it?
A sealed 12-box case is a big buy, and Topps.com showed Hobby boxes sold out on Oct 29, 2026. FireHand spots have starting prices of $45 to $295, and a spot gets you every card pulled for that spot from a full 12-box case, which has 48 autographs spread across 30 spots.
The trade-off is certainty. A spot doesn’t guarantee an autograph. A sealed box guarantees four autographs, just not of your school.
A break suits you if you collect one school, want a shot at a specific prospect’s autograph or a SuperFractor without buying a case, or like watching the case opened live. Conference spots suit collectors who want several schools in one buy. A sealed box suits you if you want guaranteed autographs in hand and don’t mind which school they’re from.
FAQ
What comes in a 2026 Bowman U Best Football box?
A 2026 Bowman U Best Football Hobby box has four packs of 10 cards (40 cards) with four autographs, three numbered parallels, three Base Refractors, two Shimmer parallels and eight inserts. A 12-box case has 48 autographs, plus one Best of the Best or Campus Crests case insert. The product releases October 30, 2026.
How many autographs are in a 2026 Bowman U Best Football case break?
48. Each Hobby box has four autographs, and a case holds 12 boxes.
When does 2026 Bowman U Best Football come out?
October 30, 2026, in a single Hobby box format (Topps.com lists it at 12 PM ET). Topps notes release dates can change.
How does a FireHand Bowman U Best PYT break work?
You buy one spot (a school, a conference group, or a player spot) and receive every card pulled for that spot when the 12-box case is opened live. FireHand’s case has 30 spots, breaks live on YouTube once every spot is sold, and ships your cards free.
Which schools have the most on the 2026 Bowman U Best checklist?
By checklist depth among single schools, Miami/Duke has the most autograph and autograph-relic card lines on Topps’ checklist (16), followed by Indiana (15), Mississippi State and Texas (14 each), and Notre Dame, Oklahoma, USC and Washington (13 each). FireHand’s conference groups are deeper because they bundle many schools: All Other Big 12 covers 13 schools and 65 autograph lines. Checklist per Topps as of Oct 29, 2026; subject to change. Every card is randomly inserted, so no spot is guaranteed an autograph.
Why are some schools grouped as “All Other”?
FireHand groups some schools by conference, so each “All Other” spot covers players from several schools. For example, “All Other SEC” covers Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, Missouri and Tennessee.
What happens with Hexagon and Quad Autographs that have several schools?
A random draw among the owners of the spots on the card decides who gets it. If the card has significant value, the owners involved decide together: a random draw, selling and splitting, a buyout, or anything else they agree on. If every player on the card belongs to the same spot, it goes straight to that spot.
Who gets the Josh Allen and Peyton Manning cards, including the High School Tribute cards?
Any card of Josh Allen or Peyton Manning in this break, including High School Tribute cards and autograph variations, goes directly to that player’s spot, not to a school. A dual autograph or any card featuring both players is randomized between the Josh Allen and Peyton Manning spots.
Which school gets a card?
Cards are awarded to the school listed and featured on the card. Mascot cards go to the mascot’s school, and a card with players from more than one spot is decided by a random draw among those spot owners.
Why do some spots cost more?
Prices follow checklist depth and player demand. Texas (Arch Manning) has the highest starting price, $295, and spots start at $45. A higher price buys more chances, not a guaranteed hit.
Where can I watch the break, and when do my cards ship?
Every FireHand break streams live on the FireHand Cards YouTube channel, and you get an email before your break starts. Shipping is free on group breaks. Packages go out every Tuesday and Friday, and international orders ship every other Thursday.
