2026 Topps Update Series Baseball Breaks: Case Breaks, Team Prices and Hits by Team
2026 Topps Update Series Baseball is the final Flagship set of the year and the close of Topps Baseball’s 75th anniversary, with in-season call-ups, traded players in new uniforms and All-Star content. It has been out since October 14, 2026. A Hobby box has 20 packs of 12 cards and one autograph or relic card, so a 12-box case has 12 hits. FireHand Cards runs it as 30-team pick-your-team (PYT) case breaks: you buy one MLB team, we open the case live on YouTube, and every card for your team ships to you free.
Current breaks at FireHand
2026 Topps Update Series Baseball Hobby 12 Box Case Break PYT #3: open now. 12-box Hobby case, 30 team spots (all MLB teams), 12 autograph or relic cards. 20 of 30 teams were still open at Oct 29, 2026, 4:55 PM CT.

How a FireHand PYT break works
In a FireHand Update PYT break, you buy one MLB team and receive every card pulled for that team when the 12-box case is opened live.
- Pick your team and buy the spot. Each of the 30 team spots has its own price on the break page.
- The break fills. Pick-your-team breaks load in the store daily between 8 and 9 AM Pacific. You get an email before your break starts.
- It breaks once every spot is sold. FireHand only breaks once every spot is sold. When the last spot sells, the case is opened live on YouTube. Watch on the FireHand Cards YouTube channel or our Live page.
- Your cards ship free. Shipping is free on group breaks. Packages go out every Tuesday and Friday, and international shipping goes out every other Thursday. See shipping.
- See your hits in HEYSTACK. When a break is imaged (many are, not all), hit images show up in HEYSTACK. Create a free HEYSTACK account with the email you use on FireHand Cards.
How team ownership works (traded players and special cases)
These are FireHand’s house rules for every break, with what they mean for Update:
- Traded players and prospects. Cards go to the team Topps prints on the card. Update shows players in their new uniforms, so a traded player’s card goes to his new team. Prospect and minor league cards go to the 2026 MLB parent club.
- Cards with a former team name. Cards showing a franchise’s old name or city go to that franchise’s current team. Randy Johnson and Pedro Martínez base cards and the Larry Walker 1991 Topps Autograph are listed as Montréal Expos, so they go to the Nationals.
- Cards with more than one team. When a card features players from more than one MLB team, a random draw among the owners of those teams decides who gets the card. When a multi-team card has significant value, FireHand leaves the decision to the team owners involved. They can choose a random draw, sell the card and split the money, have one owner buy out the other(s), or settle it any other way they agree on. The Major League Material Dual Autographs on the current checklist pair teammates.
75 Years of Topps and other celebrity autographs. A celebrity autograph, such as the six 75 Years of Topps Autographs (Billy Crystal, Jesse Eisenberg, Kat Dennings, Maria Taylor, Mannie Fresh and Chef Reactions), goes to the team whose logo is on the card. If the card has no team logo, it’s randomized among everyone in the break. A player’s autograph that shows no team goes to the team he played the most seasons for. The six 75 Years of Topps Die-Cut Autographs (Adrian Beltré, Mookie Betts, Elly De La Cruz, Francisco Lindor, Dustin Pedroia and Pedro Martinez) each list a team and go to that team.
What if my team gets nothing?
Twelve hits across 30 teams means most teams won’t get an autograph or relic in a given case. Every team still gets its base cards, parallels and inserts. FireHand doesn’t currently offer skunk protection. You still earn Firehand Points on every purchase: every $1 you spend on firehandcards.com earns 1 point, and points come off future orders at checkout.

Why some teams cost more
Each team has its own price, set by desirability, the number of possible hits and the potential value of those hits. Team prices follow demand and checklist depth. In the PYT #3 starting prices the Dodgers are highest at $225, and starting prices begin at $29. On the checklist the Phillies (64), Dodgers (61), Guardians (50), Red Sox (50) and Yankees (50) have the most autograph, relic and auto-relic lines. A higher price buys more chances, not a guaranteed hit.
Is a break worth it?
A Hobby box gives you one autograph or relic from anywhere on the checklist. FireHand team spots start at $29 to $225, and a spot gets you every card your team pulls from a full 12-box case: 240 packs of base, rookies, parallels and inserts, plus whatever hits land on your team.
Be clear about what the hits are. Update’s 12 hits per case include many base-level autographs and relics, and with 30 teams, most teams won’t get one in a given case. A break suits you if you collect one team’s call-ups and traded players; a sealed box suits you if you want a guaranteed hit from any team.
