How FireHand’s breaks work
FireHand may run either format, or both. The live listing shows which one each break uses.
Pick your team (PYT)
A PYT break has 30 spots, one per NBA team. You choose a team and get every card pulled for that team, and all cards ship. Spot prices follow the checklist and demand; starting prices will be shown on the live listing.
Random teams
Every spot costs the same. After the break sells out, participant names and the 30 team names are randomized on random.org, and each participant gets the team matched to them and all of its cards.
When does the break happen?
FireHand breaks it live on YouTube as soon as every spot is sold. Watch on the FireHand Cards YouTube channel or our Live page. Shipping is free on group breaks; see shipping.
How team ownership works
- Cards with more than one NBA team. Dual or multi-player autographs with more than one NBA team go to a random draw among the owners of those teams. That includes Dual Silver Signatures, Dual Golden Graphs and High Five Signatures when they show players from different teams.
- High-value multi-team cards. The team owners involved decide: a random draw, sell and split, a buyout, or anything else they agree on.
- Cards with no NBA team. Randomized among all participants in the break.
- Corporate Seal and Topps Brass cards. These go to the team shown on the card.
- Relocated or renamed franchises. Cards showing a franchise’s old city or name go to that franchise’s current team (for example, Seattle SuperSonics cards go to the Thunder).
Full break rules are on the Support page.
What if my team gets nothing?
Fifteen autographs across 30 teams means many teams won’t get an autograph in a single case. FireHand doesn’t currently offer skunk protection. You still earn Firehand Points on every website purchase: every $1 you spend on firehandcards.com earns 1 point, and points come off future orders at checkout.
Checklist by team
Topps hasn’t published the checklist yet. We’ll add the team-by-team breakdown here when it’s out.
Is a break worth it?
A case has 15 autographs, many of them numbered and on-card, plus Quintuple Relic Autographs and FoilFractor 1/1s. Spots in premium products are expensive, many teams won’t get an autograph in one case, and the 1/1s are rare. Buy a spot for the team or player you collect, not for a specific card.
